Daniel Mourek is 42 years old, lives in Prague, capitol of the country, and works as a project coordinator. He rides his bike regularly, hikes and canoes.
Another hobby is his dogs. Daniel regards Naturathlon as an opportunity to get to know the European Green Belt better.
Jakub Smolik is 27 years old, lives in the town Varnsdorf in the north of the country and works as a project coordinator as well. He rides his bike nearly every day and performs a few other sports: hiking, rock climbing, slack lining, ice hockey, dragon boat and canoeing, and salsa dancing. Jakub likes travelling and taking pictures, he enjoys music and theatre. Jakub’s goal is also to get better knowledge of the European Green Belt.
Jan Ritter is 58 years old and lives about 40 km northeastern from Prague in Nymburg. He works as an architect.
Jan does a lot of sport: Cycling daily, basketball weekly during summer and volleyball during winter, he canoes and skies twice a year, and rafting and hiking belong to his favorite sports as well. Additionally to sports Jan has other hobbies yet: Gardening, playing the guitar, art, photography and traveling.
Jan participates in the Naturathlon, because he likes the nature and besides he works as a designer for Greenways. That’s how he was involved in the development of the Elbe-cycle track in Czech Republic and in Germany. He also organized the 450 km long “Euro de Labe Rotary Greenway”.
Jitka Vrtalova is 38 years old and lives in the capitol Prague. She works as a chief editor and is in charge of the website www.nakole.cz. Her favorite sports are cycling and dancing. Jitka likes reading and gets into belly dance.
“Our server www.nakole.cz promotes cycling as an integral part of life and as the way to a healthier body as well as a means of ecological transport. Personally, I try to find a way to a sustainable way of living for myself. Moreover, we publish many articles about cycle tracks all over Europe.”
