• Naturathlon 2009 - 20 years after the opening of the iron curtain between Eastern and Western Europe a unique legacy of nature is in the centre of public interest: The European Green Belt – the former border strip between East and West Europe. Here, until 20 years ago there was an insurmountable border which, meanwhile, harbours a fascinating natural environment with a diverse variety of species: from the “death strip” to a “life-line”. It now unites what had been separated for decades.
• The Naturathletes - 24 women and men are thrilled about sports in the nature. They meet the challenge and are energized about a boundless nature adventure. They have two exciting weeks ahead that they are never going to forget again. Next to cycling along the European Green Belt, there are waiting several nature sports for the Naturathletes. Every day promises a new surprise. Action, excitement and fun are assured!
